Details

Get your dose of singletrack with more confidence and control. The combination of a lightweight hardtail frame, 120mm suspension fork, and 27.5 wheels with wide rims and cushy high-volume tires delivers loads of traction, speed and fun on the trail.

With its lightweight ALUXX SL aluminum frame, 27.5 wheels and high-volume tires, the new Fathom is a great choice for technical terrain and singletrack shredding. It blends the efficient ride quality of a classic hardtail with the confident ride quality of larger tires that absorb bumps and give you more traction-so you can tackle rougher trails with total control. The new frame is designed with trail-friendly geometry that includes a more relaxed head angle made for a 120mm suspension fork.

Proven alloy performance
ALUXX SL aluminum frameset is hand-built in-house by the world leader in aluminum engineering.

Traction and stability
Frame geometry is designed to optimize the confident, stable handling of 27.5 wheels with plush high-volume tires—ideal for rugged, adventurous terrain.

Trail tuned
More relaxed frame geometry (compared to XC) and control-focused components deliver added control for trail riding conditions.

Dropper posts

A dropper seatpost allows you to quickly lower and raise your seat to give you an ideal riding position. Dropping your seat creates a lower center of gravity for better control and maneuverability on steep descents, while raising it puts you at normal riding height for efficient pedaling.

Construction can include either hydraulic- or cable-actuated systems and the post’s travel can either be infinitely adjustable or stopped at set intervals, depending on the model.

Dropper seatposts come in standard lengths and diameters and vary by the amount of travel.

Plus-size rims and tires

Wider than standard yet narrower than fat, plus-size rims and tires hit the sweet spot in grip, stability, and speed, giving you more confidence on technical terrain. Compared to a standard tire you’ll feel grip in places you wouldn’t expect thanks to a bigger contact patch and greater rollover clearance. More air volume allows lower tire pressures which softens bumps and increases float on sand or snow. Whether you’re a novice or an expert, the benefits of plus-size tires and rims will amplify your mountain biking fun.
